The method of physical simulation of agitation process is presented. In the course of simulation the imitation of viscous solution properties has been shown to contribute to approximation of the physical model of the agitation process occurring in the real conditions. Moreover, inadequate agitation influences the correctness of the results obtained in clinical biochemical tests of glucose and total bilirubin by using the automated device AB-1.

The use of automatic facilities at clinical biochemical laboratories involves a change in the technological pattern of the analysis. In the course of the analysis the samples pass through the same automatic devices. A transfer of a volume of the substance from a preceding sample into a vessel containing the next one gives rise to systematic errors. A procedure for measuring a volume of the substance at different stages of the analysis is proposed. Experimental data derived from an investigation of the transfer of a volume at the stages of proportioning the biological liquid and reagents when handling various types of foreign-made automatic devices are presented.
